The Art of Olde School Wizardry II

The "Cellar Glass" is the Olde School Wizardry setting's version of the slimes, oozes, and gelatinous beasties found in other games.  I delight in monsters that pose a trick or puzzle for the players to unravel.

Here's the description from the manuscript:

Found exclusively in catacombs and caverns, cellar glass is a mobile, transparent, living
membrane.  Weighing several hundred pounds, it silently expands or contracts to conform to the perimeter of any corridor, chamber, or cave it enters, sometimes stretching itself to no more than a fingernail’s width, at other times thickening considerably to slide through tiny
cracks in the surrounding stone.

Usually, those encountering cellar glass first notice distant lights--the reflection of their own
candles or lamps--which silently draw nearer, though the astute may have already perceived
either a faint, yeast-like aroma or a complete absence of dust in the chambers and halls
where the cellar glass tirelessly roams.
